The new Ultra Smart F700 from Samsung is a GSM 900/1800/1900 multimedia slider with 7.2 Mbps HSDPA for fast wireless downloads. The F700 adds a Flash-based touchscreen user interface (similar to Apple's iPhone) that lets users interact with the features and functions of the phone, such as accessing playlists or adjusting the volume directly on the screen. The screen uses a technology called VibeTonz that alerts users when they have activated a control or button. The 2.78-inch screen slides up to reveal a full qwerty keyboard for text messaging, emailing or web browsing. The F700 also has a 5.0 megapixel autofocus camera and Bluetooth. It will be showcased at 3GSM next week in Barcelona.

I doubt it it is a great idea but Apple stil has a fe advantages. One of which is there OS which isbetter then anything Windows can come up with unless they blatently rip Apple off(Windows Vista 🤣 ) what a joke. Also It probably will only be out in Japan or something. 😎
Apple iPhone LACKS a keyboard, Hello!!!!!!!!
And because it lacks 3G, it's pretty much irrelevant in June of 2007!!!!!!!!

Which one is better: Iphone or Samsung F700??

I, personally, am not decided which phone is better. That's why I would like to know what others think, and see if someone can convince me one way or the other. To be honest both phones are great. 🙂
Have you experienced either phone yet or are you just speculating? I think having it and using it is 90% of the battle.

Go Samsung!!!!

Take the apple, chew on it and spit it out!
Why all the Apple/i-product hate? I'm NOT an Apple fanboy. But give Apple creds for it's popular design philosophy- simple and functional.

HOWEVER, this Sammy is in a different category. The qwerty pad makes it in a different league altogether...

Size

Based on the picture and the Pythagorean theorem, the size of this phone is 1.87 * 3.61 inches, or 48 * 92 mm.

The Apple phone is 4.5 * 2.4 inches. That means the face of the Samsung is 38% smaller than the iPhone... very pocketable... unless the width is ridiculous I'd much rather own the Samsung...
actually, if you click on more info and look at the specs (bottom of page) the dimensions are 104 x 50 x 16.4 mm, so smaller face but a little fatter than the iphone (not bad for having a sliding keyboard though)

Hopefully it does, we just don't know it yet, maybe we'll find out for sure next week during 3GSM, that 5MP w/auto-focus is absolutley awesome.
