Google Assistant to Be More Visually Helpful On Phones

Google is bringing more visual feedback to Google Assistant on phones. Moving forward, Google will display more information on the screen, rather than just spoken responses. First, it will provide a quick snapshot of the user's day, with suggestions based on the time of day, their location and recent interactions. When people perform a Google search, Assistant will show photos, Wikipedia entries, and other information in a more visually helpful way. Assistant is also going to power food orders. Google has partnered with Dominos, Starbucks, Applebees, Panera, Dunkin Donuts, and others for voice-based ordering. When people ask Assistant to order their usual drink at Starbucks, Assistant will confirm the drink, confirm which store the order is to be picked up, and provide mapping information. Google says this feature will roll out slowly over the next few months.
