Sony Ericsson Bringing Z310 Folder To US

Sony Ericsson has quietly added an Americas version of the Z310 clamshell to its lineup. The Z310a upgrades the Z310i to quad-band GSM/EDGE. It has a small monochrome external display hidden beneath a mirrored surface. Four light up icons add further information with cluttering the display and users can even customize the color of LED lights hidden beneath the cover so it is different for different callers. The Z310 features a VGA camera, Bluetooth and an RSS reader. It also allows you to upload pictures to your blog in addition to sending them in messages.

Alcatel today followed through on its promise to bring the A5 LED to the U.S., though it has changed the phone's name to simply the Alcatel A50. The phone, first revealed in February, is compatible with a handful of modular accessories, the most significant of which features an LED-covere panel that can blink a few dozen LEDs with color.
