AT&T Boosts DirecTV Now Live Channel Lineup
AT&T today said its DirecTV Now television service offers more than 100 live local channels. Local affiliates of ABC, NBC, and FOX (but not CBS) are available in markets including Chicago, Dallas-Ft. Worth, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, San Francisco, and Washington D.C. AT&T says it will soon triple the number of live channels available compared to when the service launched in November 2016. Nationwide, DirecTV Now subscribers have access to up to 120 channels, more than 25,000 on-demand titles, as well as premium channels. DirecTV Now starts at $35 per month and ramps up to $70 depending on the package. AT&T offers a $25 monthly discount to its mobile customers, who can stream DirecTV Now live television to their mobile devices without impacting their monthly data limit.

AT&T today improved its DirecTV Now television service with the addition of CBS and other channels. DirecTV Now has offered content from ABC, FOX, and NBC since launch, but not CBS.

Google today said its YouTube TV streaming video service is expanding to 14 new markets this week, with another 17 to follow in the weeks ahead. AT&T today said more major broadcasters around the country are supporting DirecTV Now, it's mobile- and internet-based television service. According to AT&T, ABC is available in 30 new markets, NBC is available in 4 new markets, and FOX has expanded to one new market.
