The FCC today approved the Motorola ROKR E6. This candybar style music phone has a large touch screen instead of a keypad, with a few RAZR style buttons for navigation below. It runs Motorola's pen-based Linux OS, indicating it is designed for Chinese markets, which is likely why it only features GSM 1900. The E6 also has a full size SD slot, Bluetooth, FM transmitter, and a 2 Megapixel camera with macro mode.

Has any one used this os yet? Is there anything you would compare it to, say symbian or something more like the RAZR os?
I'm loving the look of this phone. Did i read correctly that its only a single band phone? If it came as a umts/hsdpa device this bad boy would rock the school yard! Any word it getting an 850 along with that 1900?
did you read anything about it? then neither did we!!!! well i do have a friend that nows a guy thats cousin is related to this one guy that knows someone that knows the CEO of motorola and he said that you should read more about the phone!!!

How did the original do?

I thought that the original was a bust? Did it sell well? I never had anybody ask about it so I figured it was a flop, but now they are making a sequal?
If it's for China then why does it matter what the FCC says?
The E1 was a stupid product. It was stupid on its own, and a stupid way to start the ROKR line. The idea was to start with something simple before trying something more ambitious, but it ended up being crippled, obsolete technology and completely unin...
the 1st one flopped for technical reasons. the phone wasnt a bad idea and it was the new razr (meaning talk of phones) until it was pitched.
This is more of a follow up to the E680/E680i than the original ROKR. The E680i was a very successful music phone (in China). It had many of the same features as the E6. The E6 improves on styling and camera. The E680i was actually Motos first pho...
