Sprint today has announced improvements in their child tracking and parental controls that brings the carrier closer in line with Disney Mobile, which operates on the Sprint network. Sprint has made it easier to register phones with the Family Locator service and added compatibility with more handsets. Family Locator allows parents to register handsets, and locate them or send them messages from a web or phone interface once those phones have accepted a request to join the family's network. Sprint is further emulating Disney's offering by intruoducing parental controls. They have announced that parents can control incoming and outgoing calls on the Sanyo 2400, and that parents can control PCS Vision online access on any phone in a family's plan.

Umm this company is a effing joke people. If you want some bad service come to this place because if you hate not getting service, like we all do, then you have come to the jackpot. Disney

They can't be happy about this, but they shouldve expected it..especially since they were using their network. Does anyone have any idea what Disney's subscriber base is? I'm really curious to know how many customers actually have a Disney phone.
I have the litte mermaid one.
It rings Under the Sea.

... thats if you can figure out how to set it up

Sprint Family Locator is extremely complex for the user to setup, features vague documentation, and nags the party being tracked with text messages which cannot be turned off.

If a wireless savvy person like me has to stumble around for half an hour, tracking down approval options in two different account systems trying to get this thing activated, i could only imagine how the average mother is able to get online with this.

SFL - Great idea...poor execution.
