Alcatel Debuts the Tru for MetroPCS

Alcatel today announced the Tru, an inexpensive Android smartphone for MetroPCS. The phone features a faux leather rear, a 5-inch FWVGA display, and quad-core 1.1 GHz Snapdragon processor with 1 GB of RAM and 8 GB of storage. The Tru offers a 5-megapixel main camera with Polaroid software and 2-megapixel selfie camera. It includes expandable storage up to 32 GB, a 2,000mAh battery, and support for LTE (Bands 2, 4, and 12.) The Alcatel Tru runs Android 5.0 Lollipop and costs $29 after rebates. The phone is available beginning today.
