Facebook today said group calling is now available within its Messenger app. Users around the globe can call any group by tapping on the phone icon in the conversation thread. Users will be able to manage individual participants before the call connects. Facebook says the feature is included in the newest version of Messenger, which may take up to 24 hours to appear for all users. Facebook Messenger is free to download from the iTunes App Store and Google Play Store.

SMS Interoperability

The feature for which I have been waiting is SMS. If Facebook must require us to use a separate app for IM, at least allow us to control all of our messaging in one place. I keep hearing they will do this, but I do not see it happening.
