Google is improving its Google Photos service by boosting the product's ability to automatically create and annotate albums. Google says Photos will suggest new albums, featuring the best shots, after events/trips are synced online. The albums will feature maps and location points, highlighting where images were captured, should users wish. Moreover, users can add text captions to their albums as well as turn on collaboration tools for shared albums. Google says Photos users can go back to their existing albums and add these same details, such as location, maps, and text, so their albums all feature similar data. The refreshed album tools for Google Photos are reaching the web, Android, and iOS today.
