Facebook Messenger for Android Wins Material Design

Facebook is pushing an update to its Messenger app for Android today that adopts Google's Material Design. Facebook Messenger chief David Marcus revealed the new version of Messenger on his personal Facebook page. Marcus called the refreshed app a "major redesign" that was "painstakingly hard." The new Facebook Messenger app should begin reaching users later today.

Google has added a new feature to the mobile version of its Chrome web browser that lets users subscribe to the RSS feeds of their favorite web sites. The browser's main menu now includes a "+ Follow" button when on a web page that provides an RSS feed.
