Nokia today said it has closed the sale of its HERE Maps business to a consortium of automobile manufacturers, including Audi, BMW, and Daimler. The sale leaves its telecommunications equipment unit as Nokia's core concern moving forward. The company already divested its handset business to Microsoft, and expects to close its acquisition of Alcatel-Lucent early next year.

HERE Maps

I love HERE Maps, on both Windows Phone 8.1 and Android, and I especially like HERE Drive+ on my Windows Phone, they work extremely well. In fact I have found that I much prefer the HERE products over Google Maps. So I hope the new owners don't mess up HERE with a new management style - leave HERE alone to operate as it has been, because it's great as it is.
