Apple today said it has purchased a startup called VocalIQ. The U.K.-based firm has been working on artificial intelligence and human-computer interactions. Its software employs deep learning to help computers speak in a more natural way by taking cues from their interactions with humans. Apple confirmed the acquisition, but did not say what it intends to do with VocalIQ.
