Apple Makes WatchOS 2 Available for Download

Apple today released watchOS 2 after a short delay. The refreshed operating system was expected Sept. 16, but Apple held onto the software at the last moment to fix a bug. With the bug now resolved, Apple Watch owners may install the second-generation operating system, which adds support for native apps; a nightstand mode for alarms; and the ability to respond to emails. The improved operating system is free to download and install.

LG today announced that it will continue to issue Android operating system updates for three years for its premium phones, and two years for its lower-end phones. The pledge follows the news earlier this week that LG will stop making phones by mid-year.
