Qualcomm Debuts New Snapdragon Processors

Qualcomm recently unveiled two new mobile application processors, the Snapdragon 412 and the Snapdragon 212. Both chips are updates to previous designs, the Snapdragon 410 and Snapdragon 210, respectively. New features include higher CPU clock speeds and improved GPU performance. The 412, paired with an Adreno 306 GPU, is 64-bit capable, supports 1080p HD video playback and cameras up to 13 megapixels, and integrates Cat 4 LTE. The 212 is paired with an Adreno 304 GPU, supports full HD video capture/playback and cameras up to 8 megapixels, and also adds Cat 4 LTE. Qualcomm didn't specify when the processors will be available to its mobile device manufacturing customers.
