A Delaware jury today said Motorola violated a patent held by Intellectual Ventures. The patent pertains to how multimedia messages function on mobile devices. The jury cleared Motorola of violating a second patent related to wireless bandwidth. Damages will be decided later. The two companies faced off in court last year over these same patents, but the trial resulted in a hung jury. Today's decision comes after the case was tried again. Intellectual Ventures is taking Motorola to trial over yet another patent later this week. Intellectual Ventures is a patent-holding firm with some 17,000 patents in its portfolio.

Yet another Intellectroll Ventures suit.

A novel innovative and unique way of doing what other companies have been doing for years. Whats really funny is that Myrhtroll must have paid off all the MSM mouthpieces because almost none of the articles list the actual patent number or what its really for.

Probably because its a textbook BS Troll patent, a cleverly worded legalese way of describing a standard function of networked devices that has been utilized in its exact stated function by numerous other companies for Years. When your device asks for this across the network, we respond with this across the network and display a visual indicator of such. Obvious Pure Genius.

I had to search for it, so :

Ridiculous. It sounds a lot like Apple's patent on the process of selecting an item from a list and using it. Must have cost them millions in research dollars, I hope they recover their costs!
