T-Mobile's Moto X Earns Android 4.4.2

Motorola today released Android 4.4.2 KitKat for the T-Mobile variant of the Motorola Moto X. The update adds cloud printing, improves battery life, and resolves an email sync issue. In addition to the system software upgrade, the minor OS boost includes several bug fixes. The update is free to download and install.

Other variants

Still awaiting the KitKat update for my Moto Atrix HD (AT&T)... They stated back in November that these are supposed to get 4.4.2 as well ??

Do these phones have to be connected to the home operator's network to receive the update? For example, what if I'm unlocked & using the handset on TMobile or Net10?
According to motorola.com the Motolorola Atrix HD is still on Android 4.1.1( source 1 and 2) but if you want to connect your phone to the computer you can use Motorola's Device Manager to update your phone (source 3), but you will get update to 4.4 ju...
