Qualcomm has licensed technology from Philips that improves the sound of calls when using speakerphone or hands free kits. The company will integrate LifeVibes software into its CDMA 2000 and WCDMA chipsets for mobile phones. LifeVibes improves echo cancellation, enhancing call clarity when using speakerphone. It also can provide advanced noise cancellation with dual microphone systems which should be coming to future handsets.
