BlackBerry today announced that updates will be available for both the Android and iOS versions of BlackBerry Messenger this week. The revised application adds several new features, chief among them the ability to find friends. The app can scan the device owner's contact list and determine if any of the contacts are already registered BBM users. Further, BBM users can send invites to those not using BBM through the finder feature via SMS or email. BBM for Android and iOS is free to download from the Google Play Store and iTunes App Store, respectively.
