Beats Music Hits Pause on New Members
Beats Audio today indicated in a blog post that its brand new music streaming service was overwhelmed on the first day. The company said the massive influx of users led to performance problems for some users. Beats has identified the problem and has prepared a fix. Until the fix is in place, however, Beats Music has ceased allowing new members to join. Beats hopes that users who've successfully joined the service will continue to use it. Beats also encouraged interested consumers to reserve a spot for when it resumes accepting new members. Beats Audio didn't say how long it will take to resolve the problem.
Samsung Blames Note7 Recall On 2 Battery Problems

Samsung today said problems created during the manufacture of the Galaxy Note7's battery caused the phone to sometimes overheat and burst into flame. The company says two separate battery defects are at fault, but maintains nothing was wrong with the phone itself.

Google has this week made good on previous promises to make it easier for people to locate their cars after parking them. Maps for Android and iOS is being updated with a dedicated "Save Your Parking" tool that lets people not only pinpoint the location of their car on a map, but add details such as floor level, section, or parking spot for large parking structures.

Essential Phone to Ship In About 30 Days with Stock Android

The Essential Products PH-1 smartphone will be shipped to those who reserve it online in about 30 days, according to Andy Rubin, Essential Products' CEO. Speaking at the Code Conference, Rubin said the brand new phone will reach consumers as soon as the end of June, though he didn't commit to a specific date.
