BlackBerry Yanks Updated Twitter App Due to Bugs
BlackBerry was forced to remove Twitter for BlackBerry version 10.2.2 from its app store after discovering a large number of bugs in the app. The company received numerous complaints from customers about the application and is investigating the problems. In the meantime, BlackBerry suggests that users downgrade to Twitter version 10.2.1 until the newer version is made available once more.

Samsung today said problems created during the manufacture of the Galaxy Note7's battery caused the phone to sometimes overheat and burst into flame. The company says two separate battery defects are at fault, but maintains nothing was wrong with the phone itself.

OnePlus said it is taking customer complaints about compromised credit card data seriously and is investigating around the clock. Nearly 200 people who purchased products from OnePlus' web site reported fraudulent activity on their credit cards afterwards.

Facebook today said it plans to remove the Trending section from its service. The original intent behind Trending was "to help people discover news topics that were popular across the Facebook community."

MoviePass has updated its iOS application and in so doing pulled unused app location features. The change comes after MoviePass CEO Mitch Lowe spoke about how much user location data the company tracks both before and after users attend movies.
