Alamosa Holdings subsidiary, AirGate PCS has filed suit against both Sprint and Nextel seeking an injunction on the merger between the two carriers. As with other pending suits against Sprint, the affiliate alleges that the merger violates the non-compete clause between the two companies because of Nextel service in the coverage area. AirGate PCS is a bit late to the game because they have been in negotiations with Sprint, however the affiliates now believes the talks will not result in a mutually beneficial agreement.

Airgate was recently purchased by Alamosa.

The name of the company should be Alamosa PCS not Airgate PCS
technically it is still airgate. it is officially known as airgate pcs inc., a subsidiary of alamosa holdings inc. i should know - i work for them.
...
So any idea how this gets resolved? Once Nextel stores start selling Sprint PCS products then they are breaking their agreement with affiliates.
