Sprint, Nextel Shareholders Approve Merger

Sprint shareholders approved the Sprint-Nextel merger today, following Nextel shareholders' approval of the deal this morning. The two carriers have now cleared a majority of the hurdles towards a merger. The companies still await FCC approval; a decision is expected from the commission at the end of the month. In addition, Nextel still needs to settle a suit with Nextel Partners, an exclusive reseller for rural areas, which is concerned about their post-merger options. Sprint recently agreed to purchase US Wireless before the merger in order to settle a suit the affiliate was using to delay merger. Update: Sprint is now being sued by a second affiliate, Ubiquitel, which could further delay merger proceedings, or force Sprint to buy yet another reseller.

You will be torn to pieces over that statement.
It was pretty useless for you to throw in your opinion of Cingular in a forum about Sprint and Nextel. You opinion of Cingular has no value here (especially since after switching to T-Mobile from Cingular I have been much happier).

But on your seco...
