Apple today revealed the next version of its mobile operating system for the iPhone and iPad, called iOS 7. Apple has redesigned the user interace of the OS to make it more modern. Apple called it the "biggest change to iOS since the introduction of the iPhone." iOS 7 uses new icons, new fonts, and a new palette of colors to change the look of the home screen and applications. It uses distinct colors and translucency within separate planes and spaces. It uses parallax to create the appearance of depth. It is what Apple CEO Tim Cook called a "major effort" between the design and engineering teams.
