The U.S. Supreme Court has sided with the Federal Communications Commission regarding a dispute over cell towers. Wireless industry players complained to the FCC that local governments are often slowing down the process to adjust existing cell towers or install new ones. The FCC recommends that local jurisdictions should act on amendments to existing towers within three months and on new towers within five months. The Supreme Court agrees. Several cities had challenged the FCC's authority on the matter. The Supreme Court voted 6-3 in the FCC's favor, rejecting the cities' claims.

Good!!!

People are way too anal about cell towers. T-Mobile is tryingto iincrease coverage, but these anal small towns are holding up wireless progress!

Analog Radio antenas affect them more, though I still think that whey have some kind of effect on human beings as well.

People Bitch

People bitch about these towers, and I can understand if one wants to toss one on top of a school. But these same individuals have no problems whatsoever with a highway full of ugly K-Mart, McDonalds, Walmart, Publix, Shop Rite store frontages that they drive past every day. I guess the argument is they use some or all of those stores, then again they use their phone to call home as well.

all they really have to do is power up the RF on the towers. (If they really wanted to) Of course that limit is also set by the FCC
