U.S. Cellular Names New Markets for LTE Expansion

U.S. Cellular today announced plans to expand the footprint and availability of its LTE 4G network to 3,800 new cities and towns by the end of the year. Many of the towns are located in California, Kansas, and Nebraska, where U.S. Cellular has yet to launch LTE. U.S. Cellular already offers LTE 4G in a number of cities and states. The company said that 61% of its 3G customer base has access to LTE 4G today. That percentage will grow to 87% by the end of the year.
