ZTE today sent out invitations to an upcoming event that promised "two major new mobile devices" related to "ZTEGrandMemo" and "ZTEMozilla". Mozilla's major contribution to the mobile space is Firefox OS, a phone platform built on web standards.

Mozilla today said it will cease to develop Firefox OS and discontinue sales of Firefox-based handsets. "Firefox OS proved the flexibility of the web, scaling from low-end smartphones all the way up to HD TVs," said Mozilla in a statement provided to TechCrunch.

Google today announced several changes to its core search product that are meant to help people discover fresh content as they perform searches. For example, Featured Snippets are content highlighted by Google to provide "quick, relevant answers" to search queries.
What ever chance Firefox had at being successful went out the door when they signed with ZTE.
