Virgin Mobile will launch a new Kyocera phone on Friday. The K10 Royale has the familiar form of the K9 and Rave models already offered on Virgin. It adds a color screen and compatibility with Virgin's XL services, offering superphonic ringtones, WAP access, and downloadable Java content to existing features like voice recognition and a flashlight. Kyocera had previously announced they were ready to offer Java phones, this will be the first one the company has launched with Virgin Mobile, or any carrier.
