Verizon Wireless recently announced plans to bring its LTE 4G network to a handful of markets for the first time. Some of the new markets that will gain access to LTE 4G include: Muncie and Anderson, Ind.; Bellingham, Wash.; Lafayette, La., Cedar City and Logan, Utah; and Columbus and Rome, Ga. Some of these markets will see LTE service light up on July 19, while the others will follow later this month. According to Verizon, its LTE network is available in 304 markets, offering 4G to two-thirds of the U.S. population.

All Around me, but not in town. This sucks.

The 4G LTE is 5 miles south of where I live and work, it is 5 Miles North of me, it is just East & West of me. Not sure why Verizon will not just flip that switch and turn on area in between. Seems verizon is taking there sweet time with the change over. BTW, do you know if the Verizon tower near you has a generator in the event of a power failure? Don't think the one in town does, but have been in other locations where a large storm has gone thru and verizon phones still work..
