HP To Launch Series of Windows Mobile Handsets

HP has announced that due to the success of the iPaq 6300 Pocket PC phone, it will roll out an entire line of Windows Mobiles devices during 2005 in a variety of designs and sizes incorporating "several different wireless technologies". The first device will be the Mobile Messenger, a GSM/GPRS/EDGE handset with a thumb keyboard and GoodLink for push email support. The device will also include a GPS receiver. A number of rumors are circulating with what appear to be additional leaked features and photos. They claim the Mobile Messenger will also include Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, a 1.3 Megapixel camera with flash, an SD card slot and an additional slot possibly for a miniSD card. If pictures and rumors are correct, this will also be the first Pocket PC device to feature a square screen.
