AT&T Adds Features to Entry-Level GoPhone Plan
AT&T today boosted the appeal of its prepaid GoPhone service plans by adding unlimited texting to Canada, Mexico, and 100 other countries to its $25 per month plan. The new features were previously only available to the $50 monthly prepaid GoPhone plan. AT&T's reconstituted GoPhone plans now offer 250 voice minutes with unlimited texting in the U.S., Canada, Mexico, and others for $25 per month. For $50 per month, GoPhone customers gain unlimited nationwide calling and web use. Consumers can also choose a daily plan that costs $2 or one that charges $0.10 per minute.

AT&T today made one of its postpaid plans available via its GoPhone prepaid brand. The new AT&T GoPhone Unlimited service plan costs $60 per month and offers unlimited everything at reduced speeds.

Verizon Wireless today changed up its prepaid service offerings by adding a new low-cost option and other features previously reserved for postpaid customers. Verizon Prepaid service now starts at $30 per month, which buys unlimited talk and text with 500 MB of data.

Verizon Wireless will on Monday offer unlimited data plans to its customers for the first time since 2011. Verizon's new offer costs $80 per month for a single line with unlimited talk, text, and data; mobile hotspot; calling/texting to Mexico and Canada; and 500 MB of 4G LTE data per day when roaming in Mexico and Canada.
