Sprint recently announced that it has settled class action litigation that was filed by customers over billing practices. Sprint customers claimed that Sprint charged them separately for picture messages, even though they were signed up for an "Everything Messaging" service plan. As part of the settlement, Sprint denies any wrongdoing, but is offering free service, fee waivers, and rebates of unspecified value, as well as cash payments, administrative costs, and lawyers' fees totaling $6.5 million.

Is Sprint really in a position to afford something like this?

🤨
If they are or not settling is always the best way to go about something that cant be won in court. This would just get more expensive for Sprint if they were to be proven guilty for it.
...
The day that Sprint can't afford to pay $19 million is the day they need to just give up and file for bankruptcy...seriously....that's gotta be less than their monthly payroll...
