Handspring To License RIM Keyboard Design

Research In Motion (RIM) and Handspring today announced that they have signed an agreement in principle under which RIM will license keyboard patents to Handspring. Several weeks ago, RIM filed a complaint alleging that Handspring's Treo devices infringe patents for unique keyboard features implemented in RIM's BlackBerry™ handhelds. RIM has agreed to dismiss its pending litigation against Handspring following the execution of a definitive agreement.
