AT&T, Microsoft Announce New Business Offering

UPDATED AT&T Wireless today launched a new Microsoft® Mobile Workplace solution called AT&T Wireless Workware(SM) - a suite of business solutions designed to provide seamless, wireless access to company e-mail, information and other applications behind corporate firewalls. To speed implementation and distribution, the companies have developed a unique over-the-air process - AT&T Wireless AirLoader(SM) - that eliminates the need for IT personnel to manually install applications and configuration settings on each device. Also introduced was the Siemens SX56, a Windows® Powered Pocket PC with integrated GSM/GPRS voice and data capabilities, that is customized to support applications on AT&T Wireless' high-speed data network.
