GSM/GPRS Coming To Caribbean

Cable & Wireless West Indies announced last week that it will be investing in GSM/GPRS networks across the Caribbean to augment its existing TDMA offering. The system will be up and running in Jamaica within the next 8 months. Also announced were plans for coverage expansion, GAIT phones, and 3G compatibility. Cable & Wireless West Indies provides service in Anguilla, Antigua, Barbados, Cayman, Dominica, Grenada, Jamaica, Montserrat, St Lucia, St Kitts/Nevis, St Vincent, and Turks.
