Cingular Announces Major Expansion Push

Cingular Wireless on Monday said it will invest more than $945 million in its network in western states, including Nevada, California, Washington, Northern Idaho and Hawaii. Specifically, Cingular said it was in the process of expanding coverage or adding capacity to its GSM network in the San Francisco Bay Area, Las Vegas, San Diego, Los Angeles and Seattle.
