for the Pantech Discover:
Almost there
Pantech hit it out of the park on this one with a few omissions. All in all, the build feels solid if a little plastic, the speakers are great for any phone and the skin is actually useful instead of a hindrance. Wish it came upgraded with JB, but still a pleasure to use. PROS: *Size feels good in your hand and THIN *KB is very good *Speakers are GREAT *Screen is bright and easy to see even in sunlight *Processor is fast with ...

for the Nokia Lumia 920:
The good, the bad and the ugly
Let me just say that I have owned the Lumia 900 and now this phone for about a day so far. This builds on all of the already positive things that Nokia did with the 900. Better camera, screen and lots of other tweaks. The Good: *Solid build *Screen is beautiful *Windows Phone 8 is a HUGE improvement over WP7. *Price is very nice for what you get. *Live tiles are one of the best things ever created for a phone OS. The Bad: *Early ...

for the Samsung Exhibit 4G:
Not bad...not great
I would actually liked to have given this a 3.75, but that's not an option. It does what it is supposed to do. Pictures are decent, if not remarkable. Video is ok in good light. Hate the included Swype, and the Samsung kb isn't much better. The software is the typical Samsung offering, it's good, but not great. Call quality is good, just wish the volume were a little higher. Being Samsung, I'm sure a root and rom choice ...

for the HTC Hero (CDMA):
Great for what it does!
I have owned this phone for about a year now. I will give you my pros and cons and then my insight. **PRO** >Form factor is nice. Not too big - not too small >Screen is sharp and clear >Touch screen is responsive >Speaker phone and ear phone is loud enough >Call reception is as good or better than other Sprint phone I have owned **CONS** >As with most Android/HTC handsets, the battery life is suspect >In native form, is currently running 1.6 >OS is a ...

for the Apple iPhone 3G:
My First iPhone
PROS *Cool factor is great - that's 2 out of the 2.5 stars *As a newer Mac guy, it's nice that it's so interactive with my home computer *A virtually endless amount of apps to do almost anything you want CONS *I can't even begin to tell you how bad the battery life is *Signal strength is awful. Had my first dropped call in years on the first call that I made I don't really need to add anything else to this. If the signal strength ...

for the Motorola Q Global / Q9h:
The BEST yet!
Let me start out by saying that I have NEVER given any phone a 5 star rating. This one is THAT good. Taking the OS out of the picture because the limitations are that of the OS or the crippling by AT&T. I LOVE this phone!! One "feature" that I appreciate more than many is the size. I am 6'2" with big paws and I can actually use this phone for everything that it is intended for. I can ...

for the Samsung BlackJack SGH-i607:
Excellent work phone!
Although I was VERY in love with my Treo 680, it had some limitations that I just couldn't overcome. Most notably was the inability to view mail folders with the included mail program. I even explored after market mail programs but to no avail. I ended up buying this and I can't say that I'm sorry. In addition to giving me FULL mail access, it is nowhere NEAR as laggy as past Windows devices have been. I had the ...

for the Samsung SYNC SGH-A707:
Don't wast your money (or time)
I bought this to try a slim flip that WASN'T a RAZR. Wish I hadn't. It fails in too many areas to give it more than an average review. ** PROS ** Slim form factor Bright, clear screen Ringer and speakers both loud Nice keypad layout and large buttons for big hands Very good battery life ** CONS ** The UI is awful - it is locked down (very Verizon-like) and more menus than a mall food court Like the Gmail app? Forget it-won't work on this phone Like ...

for the Palm Treo 680:
New Treo user - 680
Let me start by saying that I am a compulsive phone user. This is my first Treo though, and I guess I picked the right time to jump in because this phone is great! Slim form factor with a clear bright screen makes this a joy to use. The keys are small, but even with having large hands I have made very few typos. I am getting more and more used to it and am enjoying the ability to ...

for the Samsung SGH-P207:
Nice, basic phone
I bought this phone as I was auditioning all of Cingular's offerings. I've had it for about 6-8 months, but only really tested it the last few weeks. PROS: * NICE looking phone * Excellent screen * User friendly interface * Above average signal strength * POP3 Email client * Nice size clamshell * Speaker quality is VERY good CONS: * Although it looks nice, the high gloss scratches easily - I would HIGHLY recommend a good case * Web connections are a bit flaky * The list of lacking ...

for the Nokia 6101 / 6102:
SO - SO PHONE
If you are a Nokia fan, and prefer a flip then this is a great phone for you. If you need or want something with more bells and whistles, then this is most definitely NOT for you. This is a phone first, all other things second and in some cases not at all. I was disappointed because of the lack of an email client. According to the spec sheet here, it has one, but it seems as though the ...

for the Audiovox SMT 5600 / SPV C500 (HTC Typhoon):
Perfect Phone
If you're looking for a true smart phone that allows email access, web access, media player and decent camera/video all wrapped up in a small form factor, this is it!! I have owned more than 60 phones in the past 5 years simply because I am a gadget geek. I have been looking for a smart phone that will allow me access to email with access to attachments. This phone does it all and is surprisingly small and well ...

for the Nokia 6620:
Great Phone - Should Cost Less
This is a really great phone. For those of you who use Nokias, you know the positives in the form of signal strength, volume, user menus and speaker phones. This is consistant with this phone as well. The Bluetooth works seamlessly, although it takes a few steps to sync with your PC using the free Nokia provided software. The size is definitely something to consider, especially if you like to drop your phone into your pocket and go. I ...

for the Motorola A780:
Not a bad phone, not what I was looking for...
Bought this on Ebay to test out. It's a nice phone, but not what I was looking for. PRO * Nice, clear screen * Camera better than average * Touch screen and graphics clear and clean * Fast navigation * Speaker phone clear * Nice 3/4 flip design * VERY comfy for bigger hands * Comes with ALL cables and software CON * Design seems to discourage traditional dialing * Although the PDA is nice, not easy to do what you need while driving, etc... * Speaker clear, but could be ...

for the Motorola MPx220:
Piece o' crap!
I have owned several Motorola phones, and this is the ABSOLUTE worst yet. Not sure if it's Moto, Cingular or Windows causing the problems. My guess is a combination of the group. Pro's * Nice size for larger hands * Intuitive button placement * Windows interface makes it easy to use * Nice size screen - easy to see Con's * Poor speaker quality * VERY poor camera quality * Glitches (or as Microsoft likes to call them, "features")with the OS * Speaker phone almost unuseable - volume is ...

for the Motorola V400:
Love this phone!
Pro's: Crisp, clear, large display Camera takes excellent pictures and is zoom capable. Sound quality is great Size is perfect, and keys are the right size Outside display is easy to read even in the darkest light without being disturbing to others. Ring tones sound great Over all design is nice and sleek Con's: The biggest is battery life. This thing EATS batteries. With a moderate amount of web surfing, email checking and phone calls, it goes thru a full charge in less than 12 hours. No IR or ...

for the Samsung SGH-E105:
EXCELLENT phone!
This was the first phone that I got when trying out T-Mobile. It is an excellent phone!! Pro's Crisp color display Easy to use menus Keys are good size, even for my big paws Small size Con's Couldn't get the IR to work The small size is nice, but at times almost too small. The only thing keeping it from getting a 5 is the IR problem. I traded it back to try some other phones out in order to resolve a dead zone problem, but will probably ...

for the Nokia 6610:
Not a big winner for me
I haven't owned a Nokia in over 2 years. I see not much has changed. Menus are all the same, so if you own one now, you'll have no problem with this one. I had dropped calls and weak signal and none of the T-zone items worked with this phone either, although I'm not sure what the problem was. I thought the sound quality was bad although the speaker phone was very nice. All in all, no surprises and ...

for the LG VX-6000:
Good quality hardware, poor quality sound
I have had the VX6000 for about 5 months now. for about the last 2-3 months I have been having an issue with voice echo. Everything I say, I can hear back a split second later all garbled. I assumed that this was a network issue, so I left it alone for about a month until it became unbearable. I finally went into a store and they upgraded my firmware which got rid of the high pitched blips and ...
