for the Apple iPhone 5 (CDMA / global):
First time Apple user. Now hooked.
Several years ago, I jumped ship from Blackberry to Android. I used several phones across T-Mo and Verizon. Android has many positives, the best for me being customization. There was an alternative for seemingly everything from keyboards to browsers. However, the negatives were glaring. Poor battery life, and the one that finally made me jump ship, size. The best Androids are HUGE. I wanted a full feature high end smartphone that I could take running, or slip into my ...

for the HTC HD7 / HD7S:
1 Year review. Not a good phone.
We got this phone a year ago through T-Mobile, as new customers. My wife really liked the WP7 interface over the other phones available, so we went with it. First, the pros: -large screen makes typing easy -seamless Exchange email/calendar integration -decent battery life -loud ringers And now the cons, which are serious and resulted in us having to go Android. -poor backup options for photos and contacts. -Constant freezing (HTC startup screen). Only resolution is a cold restart, losing all settings. Not good for ...

for the HTC Sensation 4G:
It's a keeper!
Late last year I switched from VZW to T-Mo. Largely due to pricing and better network coverage in my area. At the time, T-Mo was offering the Sensation for free with a 2 year contract, probably to unload their inventory. Anyways, I took a gamble, sight unseen, and ordered it. First, a couple of quick cons. First, HTC Sense. Seems nice enough but I don't like the way it commits you to five(!) screens. You can't remove any of ...

for the Motorola Z6c World Edition:
Finally, a Moto I like
Having gone down an ill-advised rabbit hole of NE2 replacement phones recently, I've ended up with the Z6C. As I've bad experiences with previous Moto's, this was not my first choice. However, color me impressed this time. This phone is solid. The menu is fast, the calls are clear, the build is solid. Pros: -tight build quality. It feels good in hand and the slider movement is solid. The thumb notch is nice as well. -Call clarity. It's good in both ...

for the Samsung Sway U650:
Nice design, bad execution
Recently in the market for a new handset with my NE2, I decided upon the Sway. Unfortunately, I chose to get it sight unseen via the Verizon Wireless site the week it was released. My requirements were fairly simple: ease of texting, music playback, decent camera. Having no need for internet connectivity, lack of EVDO did not concern me. So, not having a slider before, I thought I'd try this one out. So, with that said: Pros: -large, clear screen -decent ringer ...
