Re: Says it has VOICE MEMO, but can't find it.....
Standby is just the term that is used when the phone is not in use, but still turned on.
Re: Says it has VOICE MEMO, but can't find it.....

Re: u540 and blutooth
This is the best phone I have ever had with regard to bluetooth. Works very clear and no problem connecting or disconnecting. I am on the road 24/7 and always use bluetooth while driving and am extremely pleased. I had other phones which shall remain nameless, that I had problems with the connection, but this is perfect. Good luck.
Re: SCH-u540 reception and call quality
Hi: I had the VX8300 and enjoy the U540 a lot better. I find the sound quality better. I had a lot of problems with the bluetooth which I use frequently, with the VX8300. None with the U540. It is definately lighter and I like it without the knob antenna. I didn't use the VX8300 very long. I find the U540 superior.
Re: MP3 as Ringtone?
Boy. I've spent more time than I care to trying to get a ringtone to work. I don't mind paying for it, but what I want isn't aavailable through Verizon (Beethoven's Ode to Joy instrumental version). They have a very German militaristic version of it. Anyhow, I found an mp3 version online and transferred it to my data card and when I looked under sounds, it was a .qcp file. What's that? ...
Re: External screen question
Any of the external buttons for about 3 seconds.
Re: 870 - The worst of the VZW phones ever - Wait till lyou hear it !
Yes. My experience with this phone has been very positive and for me has the best quality voice of any I've had lately (E-815 and VX 8300). But, it's a good thing I know the browser menu as it is pretty unreadable. But the sports scores and email are clear, which is basically all I use.
Re: Bluetooth glitch
Unfortunately, I already exchanged the handset as well as gotten a new earpiece, the Jabra BT150 which is fabulous except for the aforementioned glitches. Also did the same thing with Motorola HS805. It's such an incredible phone, though, that I can live with it. Great sound. Ease of use, etc. One thing a technician told me was to use the handset for the volume control to help with the echo. Turn the earpiece ...
Bluetooth glitch
Sometimes when the other party answers, they do not hear me. It's fine when I redial. Also, sometimes when I say a name it doesn't repeat, but is listed on the screen. Anyone else experience this?
Re: for people with both the 8300 and e815, which gets the better overall rating?
Once again it comes down to which one you feel more confortable with. I had the E-815 since it came out and wasn't pleased with the reception, especially in W. Texas and Oklahoma (I travel a lot) so I got the 8300 at full retail. I have tried a large variety of phones and I enjoy the features and sound quality on this one. The best I have had so far. Ease of use and ...
Suggestion for transferring pics from computer to trans-flash card
First off, I'd like to say I've had many, many phones and this one is my favorite. When I tried transferring pics to the card and then using as ID, it would say too large. I have a free program on my computer called Picasa and have my photos there. There is a setting under tools where you can resize a picture when you email. So I email photos to myself and they come out ...
Re: Reading info off of transflash card
Same thing here. Ended up having to reformat and lose everything. I can only suggest copying to your computer and transferring to the card after reformatting.
How to send multiple photos at one time
I know how to send a picture from my flix, but how do you send more than one at a time?
