The Rumor is not a smartphone, but a mid-range feature phone with Bluetooth, 1.3 Megapixel camera and MicroSD slot. It will be available in black or white for $80 with a two-year contract.

Re: bt ringers?
but i was askin about sprint. its been said that u can bt ringers with the nokia 5165i and a900 for sprint, but its not as simple as the gsm phones, so im wonder how it will be on this phone for sprint. thanks anyways
bt ringers?
i know on the gsm version and most all bt cing phones that you can bt ringers to other gsm bt enabled phones. it shows the bt profiles, but says carrier dependent. now, since sprint currently only has smart phones that can bt ringers, will they cripple this option on this phone also? i would get this phone if it were able to bt ringers, does anybody know?

Re: other phones with Bluetooth 2.0
what exactly is the big extra difference in being 2.0? faster speeds as far as data transfer?
CDMA? nice
i was shocked to read that this is gonna be for cdma, cuz usually a phone with bt fm radio, blah blah usually goes straight GSM to cingular or tmobile. but cdma? thats a relief for once. just wonder if this is gonna be by verizon or sprint. probably verizon since i havent heard anything of this phone for sprint. this phone would be nice though with a memory card slot, mp3 player, and a2dp stereo bluetooth profile.

Re: The PPC-6000, PPC-6600 and some treo-650 are compatible with EV-DO
you mean, ppc-6600, and ppc-6700, right? u said ppc-6600 twice. the new phones just being released that evdo is available for are the sanyo 9000, sanyo ESPN MVP 8O , samsung a940, samsung a920 (bt phone :D ), ppc-6700, and samsung a900 (blade) 8)
Re: Best Buy has it too- not so expensive
Much better price than what were currently charging. its a decent phone. not bad, not good. just not for me. it will and should eventually go down.
now with the e815 out, the v710 dropped in price too. was the same for as the 815 for a while but the v710 just dropped bein a discontinued phone now.
im a sprint user myself. sanyo vm4500 for almost a year now. either goin to the mm-a700, mm-5600, mm-8300, lg mm-535, mm-a800, ...
RadioShack has it
I work at a RadioShack in western KY, and we just got two of these phones in yesterday. Its $349 outright, $150 for a new 2 yr agreement or upgrade. For that price i would rather get a E815. The only extra thing on here that might make it even be worth payin $49 for it on a new 2yr/upgrade is the handwriting messaging. We noticed that you can write somethng on a piece of paper and take a ...
A840 @ RadioShack
We at RadioShack are scheduled to get this phone in this week on our current order. My store appears to be getting 2 in. The phone will retail for $79.99 ($229.99 unactivated). It doesnt look like anything big and special. Well at least not to me, as i have a silver vm4500/scp-5500 and am currently looking at a mm-5600, :) audiovox ppc-6600, or mm-a700 to tide me over until the :D mm-9000 or :D mm-7500 ...
Re: Next Gen better have
seen on the internet the blurry pictures of the 9000. a sprint employee who just came in said they are getting the 8800 in next week, which is supposed to be the update to the 5600. only thing different i know of is the adddition of evdo. if the 8800/9000 or whatever isnt anything too better than the 5600, im gonna buy a refurb 5600 from a radioshack in lexington, ky for 343.99 plus my RS discount. because we ...
