Re: $250 at Amazon Re: Is it out?
Not a fanboy of anything. I went with VZW for their LTE and their network. I got 4G of data for the price of 2G and a great phone at a great price.
As far as the AT& T and unlimited data is concerned, neither me nor my wife (she is on ATT) never go over couple hundred MB per month, but keeping my wife's data plan is a matter of principle, not the need. AT& T is ...
Re: Leaving Sprint early for the Note
Yes, Verizom has LTE in Red Bank, and the 4G signal in my house is in low -90dBm - 3 bars. It could be that the htc rezound has a great receiver. While with Sprint I had no signal in my lab at work. With Rezound I do. Have not traveled South on the Parkway since I got the new phone and can't tell you how far it goes. But, surely VZ will be down sooner then the others.
Re: simply just..
People have different needs. Some like it bigger, some smaller. Ask your girl what she likes ;-).
Joking aside, for ladies, with large bags and such, the "packet size" does not mean as much for the guys. If you are a womam and spend much time comutting to wark, a nice large screen is perfect -- read news, play games, etc. w/o straining your eyes. Text plans? Send emails instead in case you do not want to pay text charges.
Re: $250 at Amazon Re: Is it out?
Interesting, the Amazon has no option to keep your existing data service. AT&T and their strong arming of customers! They are on a roll to get rid of their unlimited data plans, even for the existing unlimited data customers.
God, am I gald they did not get the T-Mobile merger. Some "better value for the customer with the merge" they are talking about! Thieves! BS.
Stay away from AT@T. Note (version of) will be available for Verizon soon enough.
$250 at Amazon Re: Is it out?
$250.00 at Amazon.
Make sure you keep your old data plan, in case you have unlimited data now.
Re: Leaving Sprint early for the Note
I also had an EVO 4G with Sprint. Got tired of paying for "4G service" w/o 4G coverage in my area (Red Bank, NJ). The WiMAX will not go any place, Sprint is also moving to LTE 4G, but it will take years for them to build the network out. Considering their WiMAX build outspeed, do not hold your breath for LTE build build out.
I was also thinkung about switching to AT@T because of the Note, but while ...
Re: At&t deceptive pricing – unlimited extra $100 for the phone
I am starting to get tired of the paid at&t responders on these forums. If not paid then why be so argumentative and why try to confuse the issue?
My order was "Advanced" and BEFORE the device was available after stores. At&t tried to pull a fast one and get rid of customer's unlimited data plan, or charge extra 100 for the device. That sleazy attempt did not work! I canceled the order and may move to different operator. ...
Re: At&t deceptive pricing – unlimited extra $100 for the phone
Sorry, but that does not make sense.
You do NOT get anything off on your monthly charge because you are "off contract."
If I am paying a contract price anyway, then I want them to at least foot the part of the phone price -- in this case the phone costs over $700 and they would pitch in about 3-400 dollars over the 2-year contract. Perhaps less, since they are bying phones in bulk.
Do you work for AT&T and ...
Re: At&t deceptive pricing – unlimited extra $100 for the phone
They are forcing people with unlimited data to limited by increasing price of the phone. That is not fair. They will lose this customer because of it. What part of grandfathering of plans they do not understand?
At&t deceptive pricing – unlimited extra $100 for the phone
Preordered mine, but the price on the web site said 399 - 100 instant rebate. My shopping cart ended up not getting the $100 instant rebate. Called AT&T to see if that was a mistake on the web, and of course they said, since you opted to "KEEP UNLIMITED DATA, you are not eligible for $100 rebate."
Needles to say, I talked to the manager, tried to persuade them about my (wife's) low data usage, keeping 10+ years customers happy. ...
