I figured it out...
Although bitpim says it works with the USB cable that comes with the phone, you need to install the modem drivers first, and they are different from my Dare. You can get them from the VCast Music w Rhapsody disk that came with your phone or download them from this link.

Once I installed the modem drivers, bitpim recognized the phone with no problems...

Does anyone know how to get text msgs off the enV Touch onto a PC? I need to archive some for later and I can't do it.
With my Dare, I used bitpim on my Mac. It worked fairly well. But the latest Mac version doesn't support the enV Touch. The PC version says it does and the enV Touch is even listed in the phone drop down but I can't get my work PC to recognize the phone? ...
