Every Android device that I have owned, (G1, Cliq, and now the Nexus One) all have the option of choosing to install "Unknown Sources." The default is with it not allowing the install. If you choose to enable it a big warning appears stating you are responsible for any problems you may have. The fact that AT&T continually makes decisions to just absolutely cripple their devices baffles me.

Since I like this site I'll keep it clean. Opinions are like elbows. Everybody has them. Why can't people just take two seconds to think about demographic. It drives me crazy the people who jump to the "I'm smarter than you and know what you should have." I love 3G and have 3G but I understand the fact everyone is different. Can't we all just get along?

Yes, thank you Phonescoop. I agree 100%. I'm very excited for the G1 and will be getting it at launch. It is very refreshing being able to go to a site that just gives you the facts and doesn't try to be funny, sarcastic, or angry. I commend you on your professionalism and responsible reporting.
