This phone sucks!
This is the worst phone I have ever had! It looks cute and all but it doesn't function correctly. Anytime I use it it locks up. When I sync music from my computer, when I try to take a picture, when I try to play music, even when I turn it off and try to turn it on again. I am now getting my third version because Verizon says I have to go through 3 of them before I get to pick a different model. If you want a trendy phone that looks better than it works this is your phone. If you want a phone that will work buy an ENVY. That is what I will be getting next.

The is great i love it. the only problem i am having with it is i put calles on mute quite often. and other times it takes a long time to load my music but all in all its a good phone
TRENDY Disappointment
I have had the WHITE Chocolate for nearly three weeks now and I like it, and HATE it. I am a very picky person when it comes to my phone and what I want it to do. Listed below are my PRO'S and CON'S to the Chocolate. :)

Slider phone
End button (Odd position)
NO ring and vib
Camera (poor)
Battery life
Side charging (makes hard to talk while charging)
SPEAKER phone volume (poor)
Touch Keypad doesn't always work how you want it to
Touch Keypad is always going to last call and sending to make a call
FLIX are small when set as Wallpaper

I think I have listed everything about the Chocolate. I love my chocolate but I want something more FUNCTIONAL than TRENDY. When I went into Verizon to think about changing from the chocolate the associate told me it was a wise decision because they frequently have problems with it, like when I switched to camera mode it made my screen go wierd. Another associate said "You either LOVE IT, or HATE IT!". I used to have the LG 6100 and I LOVED, LOVED it!
All together it is not a bad phone and I will be sad to see it go once my LG 8700(a.k.a SHINE) gets here but I am glad I had the chance to test it out, even though its not the phone for me! If you get the chocolate GOOD LUCK, and if you don't absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE it SWITCH!
Alllergic to Chocolate?
My Parents got me the Chocolate Phone for Christmas. At first I loved it, it looked cool, but then i started noticing flaw, major flaws. My phone would oddly freeze while loading pictures MP3's or anything of that manner. Then the touch panel started messing up. One day it wouldn't work at all. So i had to return in on January 23, thats less then a month!
Pros:
Looks Real Cool
Nice Colors
Catches people's eyes
Cons:
Touch Panel constantly skips (even on lowest sensitivity level)
Scratches at easiest drop
freezes 1 to 2 times a day
MP3's don't get loud enough
I wouldn't recommend this phone
Cool design but phone?
LG made a great design. The touch buttons are cool but they hardly work. Touch Screen is one thing buttons who cares. The phone is for Verizon so therefore the menu and UI are terrible. Camera ehh 1.3mp could do better. Pretty thick. I think the design is cool but as a phone nothing that special.

i love the phone alot and i really love the whole idea of the sliding up screen, but i have to say, i hate it at the same time.
i bought my chocolate(black) back in October because everyone i talked to said that they loved it and i love lg phones. but later to my surprise it would break and get screwed up like no other. ive gone back to verison and gotten 2 new ones already. now im on my third one and hopefully this one will work out fine.
also. ive talked to a few other people who also have the same problems with this phone, its not just the black one. its also the pink. i havent heard about any problems with the white one so if you really are interesting in it, i say go for the white because the phone is great, but so many problems occur.
Not so super.
The phone is super cool looking, gets lots of compliments, but other than that it's a pain.
The touch screen does it's own thing after awhile. It doesn't go where I intend it to and it's always calling someone while in my purse/pocket. It's annoying to have to hit buttons on the side before answering, also.
I'm an avid texter and within two months the buttons cracked and have begun to rub off. Not to mention they are just one big plastic piece and it makes texting hurt my fingers!
Apparently I am hard to hear on it, as well. All though that could be Verizon which is one of the worst services I've ever had. My calls are dropped ALL the time and I don't see a network following me to fix that!
The camera is SO bad it's unreal. For some reason it is impossible to keep the screen clean.
It's such an aesthetically pleasing phone, but it's time for it to go.

great phone
this phone is a bit hard to get used to at first because u have to tap a button instead of actually pressing one...its great for text messages and its like a ipod!
and YES YOU CAN SET IT TO RING + VIBRATE AT THE SAME TIME!!! this phone is very light, and fast! i love this phone better then any phone ive ever had! i HIGHLY reccommend this phone to any patential buyer in the future!! make sure u set the senstivity to super high and ur phone use will be a breeze!!!
Lg Chocolate id SWEET.... looking.
The LG 8500 is defiantly a hot phone right now, and I have received plenty of envious comments on my new phone "oh wow! You're so lucky, I looove that phone" and yes it IS a great looking phone. But it really has some downsides to it. I upgraded from my LG 8300, and have decided to go back to it. Picture taking addicts, this is NOT your phone.
PROS:
Great looking
Pretty good reception and clarity
CONS:
Touch screen buttons get activated while you are talking and make loud clicking noises in your conversation.
Camera has no flash
Camera is SUPER hard to use because of touch screen
Buttons on the side of your phone will end conversation
Scratches up VERY easily.
All in all, the phone is an awesome concept, and a phone that everyone will want, but for someone who uses their phone often, this is not your phone.
