Nokia 6300
Average Ratings
OK phone I guess. not a great one for sure.
It's an OK phone. Definitely won't recommend to people who give importance to minute details and hate a rubbery-squeaky noise from their cell phones.
Pros:
- bright display
- all utilities present that a normal cell phone user can think of
- light weight, yet well built
- 2.0 mega pixels camera is awesome
- Radio feature is super cool.
- easy text entry and easy to navigate menus
Cons:
- Annoying squeaky noise from the bottom part of the 4-way navigation key. Trust me, this problem alone makes this phone suck. I am going to return mine due to this problem.
- Absence of games. It only has 3 trial games that blows. All you can play is sudoku, 60 secs of pool and some other trial junk.
- Only 3 wallpapers. That's non-sense.
- Terrible ringtones.
If you are willing to put up with a slight rubbery-squeaky noise every time you press the bottom part of the navigation key and not too much on games on phone, this phone is definitely worth a phone to lay your hands on.
New Nikia 6300 A bit less
I think that the new Nokia 6300 has both advantages & disadvantages.
The Advantages are that Its sleek cool shape & casing makes it one of the best phones yet. It seems to have a great bat. life & it also has good media quality.
The disadvantages are however that when you need infa red (IR) its not there even though I wouldn't use it to often. I still had to resently. Blue tooth all the way now like it or not. Theres not enough space on the main phone hard drive though. Also I think in this day and age it should be a given that when you purchase it that it should come with all the graphics like background & also more Ring tone options with out paying an arm & leg for it.
In general good sound great picture effects but i'm sure that in the near future it'll improve its internal twicks
Still not good enough
I am a phone junkie....
I just tried the 6300 but I am not going to be able to replace my 6126 with it.
Pros: Camera is GREAT!! Blows the 6126 out of the water.
Screen is better in bright light and crisper all the time.
Converter II program is awesome.
Cons: Ear-piece volume too low and tinny, no bass or power sound punch.
Speakerphone also too weak and crackly.
I want to replace my 6126 because the camera is too grainy in less than bright conditions and the screen is way too hard to see in daylight. I absolutely LOVE the push button flip on the 6126 and it is the loudest speaker phone I have ever used....just the darn camera sucks.
But it is better for talking on than the 6300 so I will not switch to the 6300.
