They're following their corporate motto (at least for the U.S.) of "wait and see". I think because of the debt load Tmobile incurred building out their initial network and offering great plans, they've had to be cautious about adding competitive services such as EDGE while they added customers and curbed their debt. I think you'll see them become more competitive once their financial picture improves.
