Voice Mail Icon

Okay, so my friend just gave me an Audiovox 6600 and i love it. But, she had used the phone before me, and cancelled it because she got the new 6700. However, when she switched over she didn't check all her voicemails on the 6600 so now when i turn it on it keeps saying that i have 6 unheard voicemails that aren't mine. then when i go into the voicemail it is mine not hers, but i can't seem to get rid of the alert. any ideas??? Eh?
