Use a "W" in the string (for "wait"). You will have to hit the "green" button to continue from the pause (it's not a timed event). You can also use this to access your VZW voice mail (*86W#XXXX(pin code)11). That dails voice mail, once it answers, hit send again and it will send the balance of the string to enter your pin code and 11 to play new messages.

You can use a comma to creat a pause. Depending on the use, you may need two or three. For example, I use three commas for voicemail: *86,,,XXXX#. I find this works very well expecially since you do not have to hit any other buttons - one touch dialing.

jaydog is right...I do the same thing with my Treo600 and VZW. Should be standard. 😕

I find that if I try to use commas instead of the "W", I get a message from Verizon that they "cannot complete this call as dialed". The comma may work with a Treo, but not the Audiovox. The Treo also has an option for "Extra digits" which handles the VMX login.

As a matter of fact, the phone will not even save the commas put into the dial string. It allows the input, but if you look at it after pressing "OK" the commas aren't there. That is why I am using a "W". If I'm missing something, please let me know.

"," "p" and "w" are not working. I have the PPC6600 (sprint) any suggestions?

I am not sure why the pause is not working for some of you because I entered commas and it saved a "p" on the xv6600. It is working for me, but to be honest I only have used it for voicemail. Settins - Personal - Phone- Voicemail. Good luck.
