xv6600 speaker volume

I just got the xv6600, and it is great! except for the ear piece volume (not the speaker phone). Is there a hack/program to allow for a louder ear piece volume? It is just loud enough to be OK in an office environment, but in a louder place, you almost have to break out the speaker phone.

Press and hold the offhook button until it says "speakerphone". You must do this DURING a call! 😉

I think when your phone is ringing, press GREEN button for 1 or 2 second, then specker phone pops up.

Hey I posted earlier about having the same problem. I tried a different headset (one i had from a motorola 720 and it works a LOT better. So you might want to try something besides the headpiece the audiovox comes with.

The stereo headset that comes with the phone has a volume control "in-line" in addition to the volume control on the phone. Once I set the in-line to maximum, the volume was very good. It also works with a mono headset (I use the Jabra boom).
