Ordered my 6600 from Verizon Tele-sales for business and it shipped to my house FedEx within two days. Activated it (it automatically added the unlimited data contract to my service) and was online in minutes.

The EVDO is AMAZING in Atlanta. Very fast. I tested it while in Chicago and it worked quite well in many different areas on non-EVDO. I am very pleased.

The accessories included are quite lacking. Wall charger, cradle, and a cheap leather pouch. I bought an HP iPaq leather belt case for $30 at Circuit City and it works perfectly.

I have used this to access work email, IM folks from the web, surf, etc and all work as promised. I also have the bluetooth sync and bluetooth DUN for my laptop enabled and all work as designe...

Do you know what is the speed of internet you can get from this phone when you use it as modem? I connect this phone with my bluetooth laptop, and I can get the speed about 240 kpbs.

Is that right?

I have bluetooth in my HP NC6000 and simply went into the phone's settings from the laptop and setup a new DUN connection via bluetooth.

When I dial this connection from the bluetooth manager it dials the data call #777 on the phone and establishes a modem connection via bluetooth with my laptop. Works like a charm! With the CDMA2000 network it is VERY nice indeed!

From the laptop you go to My Bluetooth Places and open your entire Bluetooth Neighborhood.

You should see your phone there (make sure BT is on on the phone).

Make sure your phone is NOT connected to the data network (hold down the end call button for 5-10 seconds).

Right click the PDA icon and discover services. When you see DUN right click and go to properties and then hit configure.

Setup the number to dial (#777). Setup the option to prompt for your username and password when you dial.

Make sure the Bluetooth modem is selected to be used when dialing.

hit ok.

Right click the PDA dialup icon on your laptop and hit connect. Check your phone and it should prompt you to accept the connection request (if you have it requ...

The phone doesn't prompt for the username and password. The dial up connection from my laptop's BT does. I set the option to prompt for it.

If you are on Sprint I don't know how to get it to work...

This is a pre-purchase question. I am in Canada and am thinking of picking up the PPC 6600 from Bell. I just tried it and cannot find a Notebook connection from the Blue Tooth Wizard.

Any Suggestions?

Thanks.

Right now I have a LG and an IPAQ with Sierra Wireless card.

Can we also use this as a modem for Winfax in my notebook?
