Can someone please provide step by step instructions on how to apply the update. I am uncertain which download from the http://vzw.homeunix.com/ site is the Super Dave version and which is the VZW version.

Thanks in advance,

Dan

I was unable to find any detailed instructions either. Another thing, should I be able to do this load with a Serial Cable, not a USB one?

Go To:

http://www.federal-systems.com/v710/ »

Download the file and unpack it and it will be all the software and instructions you need to flash your phone. Please stop posting for me to send it to you. It is a 70MB file and I have stated several times to go to this site. So no more posts or emails telling me to send it to you. Just go to the site and enjoy.

this should be all you need 😁

Thanks for remembering that. With all the me too me too requests with email addresses, I thought people forgot about that post with everything you would need.

I just flashed my phone and it worked! I followed the instructions directly on that post. Except for using XP, i used 98SE and it worked fine.

Only thing im worried about is...i left the comp b/c i knew it was gonna take a few min. I came back and i saw that the phone has rebooted itself and it had full service. I powered down and restarted it and it still had service. i checked the PRL version and it was still the 50233 version. Should i still follow the power down that requires you to take out the battery?

Thanks in advance.

I fail to see anything wrong with this ? You flashed your phone: it worked. You powered down your phone: it has service...

You'll find it here. The VZW version works perfectly with the V710. If you really need Bluetooth to transfer pictures and ringtones to your computer, use the non-Verizon SD version. Either version fixes the camera.

USB_Driver.exe is under the Mirror folder.

P.S. Here is a link to show you how to flash the phone and do all kinds of stuff with it.
